Jewish terrorist who bombed Messianics gets life in jail
Thursday, April 11, 2013 | Israel Today Staff
An Israeli court this week sentenced convicted Jewish terrorist Jack Teitel to two life sentences for the murders of two Palestinian Arabs and the attempted murders of a Messianic Jewish youth and a radical left-wing professor.
Sitting in court, Teitel said in his distinctive American accent that he regretted none of his crimes, and wondered why more were not following his example.
The Messianic youth in question is Amiel Ortiz, who was the victim of a disguised bomb Teitel left on his family's doorstep in the Samarian town of Ariel. Following a miraculous recovery thanks to much prayer and dozens of operations, Ami is today studying and playing college basketball in the US.
Speaking to Israeli TV, Ami's mother, Leah Ortiz, said she was pleased with the court's ruling, stating that Teitel remains full of evil hatred and is therefore a danger to all around. Sadly, it was noted that Israel's Channel 2 News referred to Ortiz as belonging to the Messianic Jewish "cult," which is as negative a term in Hebrew as it is in English.
